Guide to Library "FUTABA no HONDANA" and CAFE

Library "FUTABA no HONDANA" and CAFE is a place for quietly spending time with books.

To enable all those who use this library to spend time there comfortably and pleasantly, we ask for your cooperation with the following rules.

Hours

Guests staying overnight: 7:00 - 22:00
Non-staying guests: 10:00 - 17:00 (no entry after 16:30)

Service Hours

Cafe time: 10:00 - 17:00 (last call: 16:30)
Bar time: 18:00 - 22:00 (last call: 21:30 / open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)

We do not accept advance reservations in any category. You may have to wait to enter when it is crowded.

Entry

If you are staying overnight, please hold your room key over the key reader to enter.

If you are not staying overnight, purchase an entry card (for 500 yen) at the shop on the first floor of the hotel, and hold it over the key reader to enter.
(Entry is free for children under 12 years old.)

Spending time with books

You may freely read the books in the library.

When you have finished reading a book, put it back on the shelf in the same place. If you don't know where to put it back, ask a staff member.

Please avoid use for self-study or computer operation for a long time. Cherish the time spent with books.

Entry with children

A chair for babies and a table for changing diapers are in the multipurpose restroom on the first floor of the hotel.

There are no rooms for breastfeeding or giving milk formula.

Photography

• ・You may take photographs, but please refrain from including other guests in your photograph.
• ・Do not use tripods, selfie sticks, or such equipment. In addition, video recording and live streaming are not permitted.
• ・Do not make telephone calls in the library.

Eating and drinking

• ・Do not bring any food or beverages into the library. (You may bring in a water bottle with a lid for rehydration.)
• ・During cafe time and bar time, eat and drink at the designated places.
• ・Do not take food or beverages outside the library.

Taking care of books

• ・You may not take books out of the library. Please read them only in the library.
• ・If you damage or soil books, please inform a staff member. Depending on the case, the staff may request payment of compensation.

Handbags

• ・You are requested to manage your handbags and other such items by yourself.
• ・Do not use bags to claim a seat or otherwise leave them unattended for a long time.
