Books
Book selection
Countless books were carefully selected in six themes under the supervision of BACH representative and director Yoshitaka Haba. Here you can find books that resonate with who you are right now.
Six Themes
Live
To live, is to experience the every day. We are born, we grow, sometimes we weaken, and then we recover. When we understand the flow of life, our world will become deeper and richer.
Make
Everything you see is something made by someone. How it is made, what it is made from. You can learn it too. You can make it too.
Tell
Whether fiction or non-fiction, once told, a story transcends time and place. How will that one book change your world?
Gaze
Seeing something for the first time, looking at it closely, or seeing something familiar from a different perspective. There are things and truths that come into existence with your gaze.
Cycle
Repeating patterns, becoming stable, maturing, resolutely flowing forth. Things endure by changing form. Reflect on the turning of the seasons and the passage of time to bring a sense of calm to the heart.
Connect
A certain event, a certain culture, a certain feeling. There are things we wish to leave behind so the next generation may live more richly, beyond the hopes and thoughts of those who came before.

This library does not enclose past events and memories within a single, overarching narrative. Instead, it aspires to be a space filled with energy for journeys and ways of living that will continue into the future. It is not merely a repository of information. Instead, it honors each individual’s perspective and experience as “small certainties,” sharing them as fragments of memory, and serving as a medium through which a dialogue with silent voices may emerge. In an age of generative AI, where our time is constantly contested, this is also a place that invites us to slow down—to encounter physical books (as others), and to turn our gaze inward. The library also aspires to function as a quiet and contemplative space, gently activating the switch of reading.
Library
A comfortable space for reading
A library where the sound of turning pages blends into the scenery. The shimmering water surface, shifting light, and quiet deep nights. Regardless of the hour, the space envelopes your senses, allowing you to relax and reflect with a book.
Mindfulness time
Organize your thoughts in an uncrowded space.
A place to get away from the daily bustle and organize your thoughts. A place to find inspiration, get ideas, and weave words. Enjoy your time as you please.
Cafe & bar
With a book in one hand, a coffee, and a snack.
The attached cafe space allows you to enjoy high-quality coffee and snacks with a book. It is also open on weekends as a bar. Enjoy a book and a drink to your heart's content during a quiet night.
* Bar business days: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (guests only)
